FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the field of biotechnology, in particular to a method for producing precursors for producing synthetic heparin in laboratory conditions, which can be used in medicine. In the present invention, a new approach is proposed to the production of synthetic heparin that can be bioequivalent to sodium porcine heparin USP from heparosan through subsequent production of three intermediate compounds – glycosaminoglycans with different content of sulfated groups (NS-, NS2S-, NS6S- and/or NS2S6S-groups) in their composition.
EFFECT: synthetic heparin produced in accordance with the present invention can be used as an available pharmaceutical substitution for natural heparin obtained from different animal tissues, and it can be used in medical practice as anticoagulant.
