FIELD: rod mine catapulting methods.

SUBSTANCE: method for catapulting a rod mine, in which the process of forming the forceful action of powder gases on a mine is organized as the following one after the other operations: burning of a part of the propellant charge without moving the mine until the forcing pressure and separation of the element limiting the combustion cavity is reached, burning of a part of the propellant charge with an increasing volume of the combustion cavity due to the movement of the mine, the closure of the combustion cavity in case of loss of the interface of the mine with the guide rod, the burning out of a part of the propellant charge in the closed cavity of the mine, the separation of a part of the mine body with the closing element and the reactive outflow of powder gases. The rod mine contains a guiding body with a tail and a tapered part on the inner surface of the rear part of the body, a mine head with a body, a warhead and a fuse, a propellant charge with an initiation device, a piston, which are arranged coaxially. The piston body contains a flange in its upper part with an annular groove of a triangular profile, the upper and lower surfaces of the flange are mated with the ends of the guide rod and the head body. The guide body on the outer surface in the rear part behind the tail comprises an annular triangular groove.

EFFECT: increasing the speed of the mine when fired, taking into account the limitation on the maximum pressure of the powder gases.
