FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology, namely, to diagnostic methods providing a possibility of diagnosing the development of a malignant tumour. The method consists in determining the coefficient diagnosing the development of hepatocellular carcinoma, calculated based on the changes in the expression profile of the following microRNAs in the blood plasma or saliva: microRNA-let-7a, microRNA-18, microRNA-21, microRNA-22, microRNA-26a, microRNA-34a, microRNA-101, microRNA-103, microRNA-106b, microRNA-122, microRNA-221, microRNA-145, microRNA-222, microRNA-223, microRNA-224, microRNA-1246.
EFFECT: method allows for diagnostics of hepatocellular carcinoma in patients with hepatic cirrhosis due to hepatitis C.
