SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology, namely to a method for determining the stage of melanoma. The method for determining the stage of melanoma by changing a microRNA expression profile in exosomes includes taking venous blood into a test tube with anticoagulant, centrifugation, plasma sampling and preparation of several aliquots, followed by freezing, isolation of exosomes by ultracentrifugation and isolation of exosomal microRNA, setting up a real-time PCR reaction with primers for certain types of microRNA associated with the development of melanoma: microRNA-473, microRNA-509-5p, microRNA-let7b, microRNA-143, microRNA-193b, microRNA-106a, microRNA-21, microRNA-34a, microRNA-224, microRNA-let-7e, microRNA-145, microRNA-203 and microRNA-18a, under certain conditions, then, the coefficient is calculated that diagnoses the development of melanoma (R) according to the empirical formula, and with the value of R: in the range from 0 to 0.99 – healthy patients, in the range from 1 to 1.99 – 1-2 stage of melanoma, above 2 – 3-4 stage of melanoma.

EFFECT: above-described method makes it possible to determine stages of melanoma by changing the expression profile of certain microRNA in exosomes isolated from blood plasma.
