FIELD: electrochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrochemical production of materials suitable for operation in a high-temperature fuel cell. The method for applying a heat-resistant coating simulating Co-Cr-W stellite to the surface of stainless steel includes electrochemical coating and dewatering treatment, while electrochemical coating is carried out from an aqueous dimethylformamide solution (1:1) containing CrCl3 at a concentration of 1.2-1.7 mol/l, cobalt chloride at a concentration of 0.005-0.01 mol/l and sodium tungstate at a concentration of 0.01-0.05 mol/l at a pH of 1.2–2.0 and current density 20-50 A/dm2, and the dewatering treatment is carried out in a gradient mode from the initial temperature of 120±10°С to the final temperature 220±10°С for 3 hours, at the same time, protective screens made of polypropylene are used to evenly distribute the current.
EFFECT: obtaining a heat-resistant coating imitating Co-Cr-W stellite on the surface of stainless steel, uniform in thickness and chemical composition, increasing the service life of the fuel cell in combination with the ease of applying the heat-resistant coating.
