METHOD FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT OF CONGENITAL LACRIMAL PASSAGES OBSTRUCTION IN CHILDREN AND DEVICE FOR METHOD IMPLEMENTATION Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC A61B17/00

Abstract RU 2633634 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method for treatment of congenital obstruction of lacrimal passages in children with stenosis at the Gesner valve level, including restoration of the tear passage, characterized by medialization of the inferior nasal concha under the control of a rigid direct vision endoscope 1.9 mm in diameter, hemostatic sponge placement under the concha in the posterior sections, endoscope movement under the concha, sounding of the lacrimal passages through the lower lacrimal point to identify the nasal aperture of the nasolacrimal canal, localization of the nasal aperture of the nasolacrimal duct determined along the site of the mucosal prolapse. The probe is held in the lacrimal passages, keeping the dome-shaped mucosa elevation above the probe, then the mucosal dome is circullary cut off at the site of its transition to the lateral wall of the nasal cavity to completely free the nasal passage of the nasolacrimal duct, without affecting the submucosal layer and bone, the inferior nasal concha is retained biased medially for the early postoperative period by retaining the resorptive material beneath it. The device for implementation of the method for treatment of congenital lacrimal obstruction of children in case of stenosis at the level of the Gesner valve is made of metal, consists of a handle with a length of 100-120 mm and a diameter of 6-10 mm, which is connected with the neck with the cutting tip, the neck has a conical shape, the diameter in the thick part is 2-5 mm, in the thin part - 1-3 mm, the neck length is 4-60 mm, and the handle is connected to the neck at an angle of 110-130 degrees in a plane perpendicular to the cutting plane, which allows to remove the surgeon's hand from the plane of the endoscope location.

EFFECT: group of inventions allows to increase the efficiency of treatment of congenital lacrimal passages obstruction.
