SUBSTANCE: invention relates to infant nutrition. The method for stimulating improved eating behaviour in an infant including feeding said infant with infant formula or a subsequent formula including a lipid, a protein and digestible carbohydrates, wherein the lipid is in the form of lipid globules, and the lipid globules have a modal diameter, relative to volume, of at least 1 mcm, and/or at least 45 vol.% of the lipid globules have a diameter of 2 to 12 mcm, and/or the lipid includes at least 0.5 wt.% of a phospholipid relative to the entire lipid. The lipid globules therein have a coating including a phospholipid. The improved eating behaviour therein is selected from the group consisting of increased slowness in eating, increased sensitivity to satiation, reduced food sensitivity, optimal pleasure from food, and optimal appetite. The lipid therein comprises at least 10 wt.% of palmitic acid from the total fatty acid content, and at least 15 wt.% of palmitic acid from the total amount of palmitic acid is in the sn-2 position of the triglyceride. The infant formula or the subsequent formula therein is not breast milk and is administered to an infant under the age of 6 months.

EFFECT: invention provides a possibility of improving the eating behaviour of infants.
