FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the oil and gas industry, and in particular to methods for the production of chemicals for the processing of drilling fluids used in the drilling of oil and gas wells. In the method of producing a reagent for drilling mud, hydrolysis lignin is oxidized in a solution containing hydrogen peroxide and a strong mineral acid, with the following ratio of components, wt.%: hydrolysis lignin 9-11; hydrogen peroxide 10-12; strong mineral acid 10-12; water is the rest. Then the resulting oxidized hydrolysis lignin is washed with water and dissolved in a solution that contains an alkali metal hydroxide in a stoichiometric (mol/mol) ratio of 1:1 to the acidic groups of the oxidized hydrolysis lignin, with the following ratio of components, wt.%: oxidized hydrolysis lignin 4- 6; alkali metal hydroxide 0.8-1; water - the rest is up to 100. The reagent can be obtained in the form of a powder after evaporation of the solution and drying of the solid residue at a temperature of 100-110°C. Sulfuric, hydrochloric or nitric acid is used as a strong mineral acid. Sodium, potassium or lithium hydroxide is used as the alkali metal hydroxide.

EFFECT: environmental safety of the method for obtaining and resulting from the implementation of the method of the diluent reagent while maintaining its high dilution capacity.
