FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of shipbuilding, namely to means for determining the draft of a vessel. A method for determining the draft of a vessel by determining the height of the underwater part of the vessel is proposed, consisting in measuring parameters at several points of the vessel, in which measurements are carried out using GLONASS/GPS geodetic equipment, the antenna of the first rover of which is installed on the deck of the vessel with the possibility of moving in a horizontal plane, and the antenna of the second rover is placed on a floating base in the water, while the height of the underwater part of the vessel is determined by the formula T=H2-(H1+ΔH12), where T is the height of the underwater part of the vessel; H1 is the height of the antenna level of the second rover relative to the water level; H2 is the height of the antenna level of the first rover relative to the keel of the vessel; ΔH12 is the height difference of the antenna of the first rover relative to the antenna of the second, while the results obtained are received, processed and stored in a portable computer (laptop/PC), and the floating base is made with variable underwater shielding, the characteristics of the draft of which are automatically adjusted in accordance with changes in the characteristics of the draft of the vessel, additionally the speed of the vessel is determined by the formula VG = VW+VB, where VG is the speed of the vessel relative to the ground; VW is the speed of the vessel relative to water; VB is the speed of the floating base.
EFFECT: increase in reliability in determining the draft of the vessel and the expansion of the functionality of the method for determining the draft of the vessel.
