FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of shipbuilding, and in particular to means for determining the draft of a vessel. Method for determining the draft of a vessel is proposed, which consists in measuring parameters at several points of the vessel to determine the height of the vessel’s underwater edge, in this case, measurements are carried out with the help of geodesic equipment GLONASS/GPS, the antenna of the first rover of which is mounted on a mast fixed on a floating base, and the antenna of the second rover (ship) is mounted on a ship stand with the ability to move in a horizontal plane, and the height of the underwater ship’s side is determined by the formula T=H2-(H1+ΔH12), where T is the height of the underwater ship; H1 – the height of the antenna level of the first rover relative to the water level; H2 – the height of the level of the antenna of the second rover relative to the keel of the vessel; ΔH12 – the height difference between the location of the antenna of the second rover relative to the first.
EFFECT: proposed method allows to improve the accuracy and speed of determining the draft of the vessel.
