FIELD: packaging.
SUBSTANCE: support unit of the device for packaging an item by wrapping it in a packaging material, preferably in a stretchable plastic film, includes a rotating support element for placing the item to be packaged on it. The supporting element is fixed on a vertical rod connected to the hollow shaft of the gearbox, made with the possibility of transmitting torque to the rod. The rod has the ability to move axially relative to the shaft. In the lower part, the rod rests on a bearing unit made with the possibility of transferring the load from the rod to the sensitive element of the weighing system located under the bearing unit.
EFFECT: invention has a simple and reliable design and makes it possible to automate and speed up the process of preparing cargo for shipment.
