SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely ophthalmology. The corneal implant for intralamellar polymer keratoplasty is made of optically transparent biocompatible material. The corneal implant is made as a whole in the form of a ring segment with rounded ends. At the same time, the length of the implant arc ranges from 45 to 359 angular degrees with an external radius of 5.2 to 7.2 mm in 1 mm increments and an internal radius of 4.0 to 6.0 mm in 1 mm increments. The height of the implant is from 50 to 350 microns in increments of 50 microns, with a cross-section in the form of a semicircle with rounded ends facing the center of the implant.

EFFECT: application of this invention will provide additional correction of residual ametropias with minimal corneal trauma, which contributes to a more accurate topography alignment of the irregular surface of the cornea and leads to a decrease in higher-order aberrations and stabilization of disease progression, and consequently to an increase in visual functions and the patient’s higher life quality.
