SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used to form a donor corneal disc for layered keratoplasty with a partially detached complex. To do this, the corneoscleral disc is fixed in the bed of the plastic base of the vacuum cutter with the endothelium upwards. Using a 5 ml syringe connected to a 30 G needle, air is injected from the side of the scleral ring into the middle layers of the stroma until a large type 1 bubble is formed, consisting of the Dua layer, Desmet's membrane and endothelium. Then paracentesis of the bladder is performed and a detached graft with a diameter of 6.5-9.5 mm is cut out along its circumference with scissors, leaving three sections uncut along the arc of the same circle 0.5 mm long each, at the same angular distance from each other. After that, the formed graft is placed in a solution for preserving and storing corneas for up to 14 days.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to form ultrathin discs up to 100 mcm thick, easy cutting out and implantation of such discs into the anterior chamber of the eye, which will allow achieving high visual functions, reducing the rehabilitation time of patients, and also saving valuable donor material.
