FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of veterinary medicine, namely to immunology and infectious diseases; it is intended for vaccination of ruminants against respiratory diseases. An oral vaccine against respiratory disease of ruminants contains live attenuated Mannheimia haemolitica bacteria, polyvinylpyrrolidone (hereinafter – PVP) and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The concentration of PVP ranges from about 0.3 to about 3% wt./vol., wherein PVP is selected from a group consisting of K 12, K 60 and a combination thereof. In other embodiments, a method for obtaining the specified oral vaccine and a method for vaccinating ruminants against respiratory disease are provided. A milk drink for vaccination, by feeding, of young ruminants against respiratory disease is also presented, containing the specified vaccine.
EFFECT: use of a group of inventions provides effective immune protection of a ruminant against respiratory disease.
