SUBSTANCE: claimed invention relates to mechanical engineering, namely to sets of brake pads for drum brakes of cars and other machines. The drum brake pad kit includes metal rivets and brake pads. Each pad is designed with concave and convex surfaces and rows of rivet holes. The convex surface of each brake pad is made in the form of alternating protrusions and depressions in the form of segments of circles. A feature of the kit is that the linings are made of different thickness with a sickle-shaped profile, and the segments of the circles of the protrusions and depressions are made with the centers of the corresponding circles on the side of the thin edges of the linings.

EFFECT: reduction of frictional self-oscillations during the running-in process of linings and reduction of the corresponding sound phenomena.
