SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, namely to a medical device for extracting a urological device from a patient and a method for extracting a urological device from a patient. The medical device for extracting a urological device from a patient includes a urological device and extraction thread attached to the urological device, having a proximal end connected to the urological device and an opposite distal end. Extraction thread contains ferromagnetic material located at least along the length of extraction thread material to allow the possibility of magnetic manipulation of extraction thread through the urethra to extract the medical device. The method for extracting a urological device from a patient includes capturing at least one extraction thread of the above-mentioned medical device installed in the patient’s body; and extracting at least one extraction thread and the attached urological device through the patient’s urethra. In the second embodiment, the medical device for extracting a urological device from a patient includes a urological device and extraction thread attached to the urological device, having a proximal end connected to the urological device and an opposite distal end. Extraction thread contains a hydrodynamic cap attached to the distal end.
EFFECT: use of inventions allows the patient or doctor to remove the device from the patient’s ureter through the bladder and urethra without the need for cystoscopy.
