FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing an oxidation catalyst for treating exhaust gas from an engine with compression inflammation, involving: (A) preparing a porous coating containing a catalyst composition to obtain a stable ratio of NO2 to NO in engine exhaust system with compression ignition, wherein said catalyst composition is obtained by a method in which: (i) preparing a first composition containing a platinum compound (Pt), placed on a support or applied thereon, where said platinum compound is a platinum salt and/or platinum oxide, and the support is a refractory metal oxide; (ii) a second composition is prepared from said first composition by reducing said platinum (Pt) compound to platinum (Pt) with a reducing agent, wherein the reducing agent is hydrazine; and (iii) heating the second composition to at least 650 °C to obtain a catalyst composition; and (B) applying said porous coating on a substrate. Invention also relates to an oxidation catalyst for treating exhaust gas from an engine with compression ignition, to an exhaust system, a vehicle and use of the disclosed catalyst.
EFFECT: technical result consists in providing improved exhaust systems.
