SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for call classification. Call attributes are determined, when a call is intercepted from a terminal device of a calling party to a terminal device of a called party, while notifying a switching node of the routing of the intercepted call through a branching node, which establishes a connection via two different channels: the first one - to the terminal device of the called party, the second one - to a recording device for transmitting media data from each terminal device. A record of media data transmitted within the connection established by the call is formed during the call. The generated record of media data is converted into a set of features suitable for classification, which includes the presentation of the record in formatted text and its subsequent analysis, while features include a certain category of call record, an emotional assessment of the call record and the duration of the call. The call is classified based on received call attributes and the set of features of media data record using a pre-trained call classification model.

EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of call classification.
