FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of shipbuilding and can be used in production of ship propulsors, namely, in manufacture of screw propellers. Manufacture of a screw propeller includes stage-wise formation of the outer structural contours of the screw propeller and the internal structure thereof. At each stage or within one stage, both metallic and non-metallic structural materials are used to form the mass of the screw propeller, differing by physical and mechanical characteristics and providing a change in said characteristics for different areas of the blades and/or the hub of the screw propeller. The outer contours of the screw propeller and the internal structure thereof are formed at each stage or within one stage by the additive method.
EFFECT: reduction in the weight of the screw propeller and increase in the reliability of operation thereof are achieved.
