FIELD: chitosan obtaining.
SUBSTANCE: method for obtaining chitosan from the larvae of the black lion fly Hermetia illucens is described. The invention relates to biotechnology and can be used to obtain high molecular weight chitosan. The substance of the proposed method lies in the fact that the initial mass of larvae is blanched and processed through a press. The dried mass is treated with 1 l of 1% HCl at room temperature for 2 hours with stirring, washed with distilled water and dried, and then fractionated through a sieve with a particle size of 2 mm. The fabric is treated with 600 ml of 30% NaOH, kept for 30 minutes at room temperature and the reaction is carried out on a water bath for 2 hours at 100°C with stirring. The dried mass is treated with 360-650 ml of 50% NaOH, kept at room temperature for 30 minutes, heated at 100-120°C for 2-5 hours with stirring. The reaction mass is cooled, the precipitate is separated on a porous glass filter, washed with water until neutral pH and dried in an oven.
EFFECT: high molecular weight chitosan obtaining.
