FIELD: hydraulics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a complex for experimental modelling of speed distribution in hydraulic turbines. The complex has a hydraulic turbine model consisting of a stationary blade swirler 1, a blade swirler 3 forcibly rotating on a shaft inside a pipe, a conical transparent speed measurement working section 4 modelling the conical part of the suction pipe, an engine 5 transmitting torque to the swirler 3, an electromagnetic flow meter, a supply pump and a vacuum pump, a frequency converter for controlling the engine 5, a frequency converter for controlling the supply pump. The section 4 has flat outer walls, the swirler 3 is connected with the engine 5 by means of a magnetic coupling 2. The flow meter has feedback with the converter controlling the operation of the supply pump. The speed field is recorded by a two-component system of a laser-doppler anemometer.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at providing a possibility of modelling a wide range of flow modes occurring in hydraulic turbines under different loads by a combination of a stationary swirler and a rotating swirler.
