FIELD: hydraulic power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydraulic power engineering, namely to propeller-type microhydroturbines. In the method for determining the optimal operating mode of a microhydroturbine consisting of a hydraulic path, an impeller with a fairing nozzle 7, a shaft 2, a static swirler 3, a hydraulic turbine blade turning control unit, and a conical outlet branch pipe 6, velocity profiles are measured in one cross-section. The microhydroturbine is placed on a measuring stand, the velocity field is measured in the branch pipe 6 using a laser doppler anemometer at a distance of 100 mm from the fairing nozzle 7. The flow twist parameter in this cross-section is calculated. If the value of the twist parameter exceeds 0.15, the angle of the blades of the hydroturbine, the speed of the incoming flow, and the speed of rotation of the shaft are adjusted to reduce the twist parameter. The impeller is driven through a shaft 2 connected with a servo drive 1. The twist parameter is determined by the formula.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at creating a simple and accurate method for determining the optimal mode of operation of a microhydroturbine at predetermined water resource parameters.
