FIELD: communication technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a mobile terminal and the way it works. The communication method includes the stages of monitoring the physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) for potentially possible variants of the first sets of search spaces located in the assigned first frequency range from a set of frequency ranges, and receiving the downlink control information (DCI) transmitted in the first set of search spaces of the assigned first frequency range. The adopted DCI contains an indication whether or not the mobile terminal should skip monitoring of some specific or all potentially possible PDCCH variants in at least one second set of search spaces associated with at least one second frequency range from a plurality of frequency ranges.
EFFECT: improving the energy efficiency of the mobile terminal by transmitting an indication to the mobile terminal that indicates whether or not to skip the control of individual sets of search spaces.
