FIELD: biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biochemistry, in particular to a recombinant DNA molecule for giving herbicidal resistance to herbicides of protoporphyrinogen oxidase (hereinafter – PPO). A DNA-structure, a transgene seed containing the specified recombinant DNA molecule; a recombinant protein encoded by the specified DNA molecule; and a transgene plant resistant to PPO herbicides containing the specified recombinant DNA molecule are also disclosed. Methods for producing a plant resistant to PPO herbicide and expression of a heterologous protein of resistance to herbicide in a plant using the specified DNA molecule; and a method for preventing weed growth and reducing growth of weeds resistant to PPO herbicide using the specified DNA molecule are also proposed.
EFFECT: invention allows for effective combating with weeds.
