SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of surgery, namely, to surgical instruments for mechanical extraction of stones from the CBD after performing endoscopic papillosphincterotomy. The apparatus for mechanical removal of stones from the bile ducts comprises a guide and a basket formed by a pair of threads converging in a single vertex. One of the threads is made non-detachable, and the other detachable, configured for calculi to be released from the basket. A tip is mounted at the vertex of the threads, wherein said tip is mounted rigidly to the non-detachable thread, and the detachable thread is passed through a hole in said tip. An aglet is mounted on one end of the detachable thread and a handle on the other. The aglet is configured for pulling the tip with a non-detachable thread from the captured calculus when pulling the detachable thread by the handle.

EFFECT: facilitated release of the apparatus from the blocking calculus inside the bile duct.
