FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used for osteosynthesis of fractures of the medial malleolus. Access to the fracture of the medial malleolus and reposition of the fracture are performed. Next, the installation of two Kirschner wires with soldering is carried out. In this case, the wires are passed from the fragment of the inner malleolus into the tibia in such a way that the soldering points are placed in the area of the tip of the inner malleolus, and the feather parts of the spokes come out parallel to the diaphysis of the tibia along its medial surface. Then a sponge screw with a toothed washer is installed 4 cm proximal to the fracture and the spokes are twisted along the body of the screw with the formation of two loops.
EFFECT: method provides osteosynthesis in the presence of a small bone fragment, eliminates the migration of metal structures, and also provides stable compression without its subsequent reduction by installing wires with soldering and further fixing them by a screw, as well as by fixing fragments on both sides of the fracture zone.
