FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopaedics, and can be used for osteosynthesis of internal malleolus fracture with K-wire. Before insertion into the bone, the K-wire is bent in a V-shape to form a closed loop and delivered through the medial malleolus into the tibia through the fracture line. Screw is placed in the proximal direction of the fracture in the tibia, and the fragment is compressed with the help of a cerclage wire passed through the formed wire loop and the screw body.
EFFECT: method provides simplification of osteosynthesis of fractures of internal malleolus, possibility of performing osteosynthesis in cases when another method of osteosynthesis is impossible due to the presence of a small bone fragment, and increased speed and ease of removal of metal structures from small incision, due to features of shape and introduction of wires.
