FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used for open osteosynthesis of a fracture of the inner ankle. Two Kirschner wires are passed through the inner ankle into the tibia through the fracture line. The ends of the wires are bent in the form of two closed loops and bitten off at a distance of 0.5-1.5 cm from the loop. A cortical screw is inserted into the tibia 2-3 cm above the fracture site and an octagonal tightening wire loop is placed around the screw cap and through the loops of the wire ends, fixing the wires and the screw together.
EFFECT: method reduces the risk of migration of the metal structure in the distal direction due to the fact that the loop does not pass through the hole in the bone, but is fixed under the head of the screw, which prevents it from slipping.
