SUBSTANCE: electric motor built into a wheel contains a stator with a connecting element on a side facing a vehicle, a cylindrical hollow stator case connected to the connecting element. The outer surface of the stator case is provided with stator windings. It additionally contains a cylindrical rotor case coaxially surrounding the stator. The electric motor additionally contains a power electronic device for powering stator windings. The hollow stator case is provided with a hole of the stator case on a side of the electric motor facing a road to receive the power electronic device. The surrounding rotor case is provided with a removable cover covering the hole of the rotor case for the rotor case on the side facing the road and covering the hole of the stator case.
