FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: electric motor built into a wheel includes a connecting protrusion on the side facing the vehicle, a stator body connected with the connecting protrusion and equipped with stator windings on the outer surface. Also additionally includes a rotor body coaxially surrounding the stator and configured to rotate around the axis of rotation. The electric motor additionally includes a power electronic apparatus for powering the stator and a detector for the angular position of the rotor body relative to the stator. The connecting protrusion is equipped with a support for connection to the power electronic apparatus, installed on a support inside the hollow stator body. The detector includes an angular position sensor installed inside the hollow stator body and connected with the rotor body, wherein the detector is installed on the power electronic apparatus coaxially with the axis of rotation.
