FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agriculture, and is intended to assess the soil suitability for growing crops. The method comprises selection of the test samples of soil, seed germination in the test soil placed in vegetation pots or cuvettes. Sampling of soil is carried out from different fields of intended planting in spring to the closed packets 10-15 days prior to planting with the soil sampling depth of 5 to 25 cm. The samples of the test soil are divided into two parts, water and the resulting suspension is added into the first part. It is boiled for 12 hours for destroying the microflora and cleavage of compounds of ammonia and nitrates. It is cooled to ambient temperature. The second part is left in its natural form, then the test planting of several crop varieties is carried out taking into account optimal nutrition area of the root system of the crop, for each crop variety at least in six samples, such as on the pre-boiled soil without application of mineral fertilizers and microflora, on the pre-boiled soil with application of mineral fertilizers, on pre-boiled soil with the application of the microflora, on the natural soil without application of mineral fertilizers and microflora, on the natural soil only with application of mineral fertilizers, on the natural soil with application of microflora only. After that, the monitoring of seed germination is set. Based on observations of the seed germination, growth dynamics of the crop, and change in the agrochemical state of soil by comparison of the samples, the conclusion is made on suitability of the soil for the cultivation of certain varieties of crops on the selected soil.

EFFECT: claimed method enables to assess effectively the soil suitability for growing certain crops.
