SUBSTANCE: invention relates to immunology, which can be used in clinical practice to assess the viability of peripheral blood lymphocytes of the body, in particular to a method for assessing the functional state of peripheral blood lymphocytes. The method includes: taking blood from animals immediately after delivery from the jugular vein, dividing it into plasma, conducting a study of peripheral blood lymphocytes by complement-dependent cytotoxicity in a two-stage exposure first to immune autologous serum containing antibodies, and then to complement. At the same time, lymphocytes with low functional activity are subjected to a cell lysis reaction, established by the penetration of a lifetime dye into the cell, and the percentage of lysis of lymphocytes is determined by the intensity of the reaction.

EFFECT: use of the invention provides an increase in the reliability of a laboratory study of the assessment of the functional state of peripheral blood lymphocytes in animals.
