FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: determining a degree of T-cell energising requires analysing separate patient's peripheral blood lymphocytes by interference microscopy. That involves recovering a sample from patient's blood mononuclear suspension, microscoping in an interference microscope to image a mononuclear in the form of a topogram representing two-dimensional phase thickness distribution reflecting a projection of single cell organelle in the form of optical density areas to calculate considerable parameters; the latter are boundaries of the areas in the phase image of a single cell, which are in accordance with the organelle boundaries, and each of which limits a segment in the phase image of a single cell, a thickness of which is different from that of an adjoining segment or segments, in order to plot characteristic straight lines and an integral function on the basis of a dependence of the segment thicknesses within the areas on a phase volume of the above areas. A degree of T-lymphocyte energising of a single cell is determined by comparing a parameter produced by relating slopes of the characteristic straight lines to the segments of the integral function within a cell reticulum to normal and extreme degrees of cell energising. One of these parameters having a high diagnostic potential may be associated with the reticulum state and mitochondrial refractivity, wherein ATP molecule synthesis, which is a sole and universal energy source for cell processes takes place.
EFFECT: higher information value of the cell images by introducing new parameters.
