FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and can be used in laboratory study to find the indications for the glucocorticoid therapy. It is ensured by examination in vitro of monocytes of peripheral blood wherefore monocytes are activated within 10-20 minutes with a helium-neon laser of power (0.5-1.0) Wt/cm2. As morphometric parametres of monocytes, an optical thickness of monocyte nuclei is recorded. Then monocytes are exposed to prednisolone, and the optical thickness of monocyte nuclei is recorded once more. The increased indicator by 30% and more enables to predict glucocorticosteroid clinical effectiveness.
EFFECT: application of the offered study method prior to glucocorticosteroid therapy allows avoiding unreasonable prescription of said preparations, since even short-term application can lead to various complications.
