FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to foundry production, in particular, to manufacture of castings without pouring the melt into the cavity of the casting mould. The method for manufacturing castings directly from the melt is executed in two stages, wherein in the first stage, the melt is brought to a supercooling state, and in the second stage, the melt mass is treated with a focused scanning energy beam, in particular, laser, electromagnetic, or acoustic beam controlled by a 3D program according to the design of the casting.
EFFECT: production of shaped castings of any configuration directly from the liquid melt without the additional use of moulds.
