SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, clinical and laboratory practice. The method for determining the absolute telomere length (ATL) of leukocytes using the flow cytometry method is that the telomere length is measured on a flow cytometer to determine the value of the average fluorescence intensity (AFI). Next, the AFI values are obtained. A calibration line is constructed to convert AFI into the molecular equivalent of fluorescence (MEF). Then an equation is obtained for converting AFI to MEF. The MEF values are obtained. ATL values are calculated based on a regression model. In this case, the regression model is obtained based on the regression analysis of the MEF values and using data from, obtained in parallel by real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR RV).

EFFECT: invention provides a simple, fast, accurate and universal method for determining ATL.
