FIELD: nuclear technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an improved solid oxide fuel cell unit on a metal substrate, fuel cell batteries, fuel cell battery assemblies, and methods for manufacture thereof. The solid oxide fuel cell unit comprises a metal substrate, a metal pad, a metal connecting plate. Each fuel inlet opening, each cutout, and each fuel outlet opening formed in the metal pad are separate from each other, wherein the internal perimeters form dividers in the metal pad between the perimeters. The presence of bridge sections in the metal connecting plate together with the internal perimeters of the fuel inlet in the metal pad allows for complex fuel inlet and outlet openings, capable of ensuring controlled distribution of the fluid flow from at least one fuel inlet opening into at least one cutout and from at least one cutout to at least one fuel outlet opening. This can ensure more uniform distribution of fuel in the fuel cell unit and thus, assist in optimising the operation of the fuel cell unit.
EFFECT: increase in the velocity of fuel in the fuel cell units, reduction in the fuel residence time, improved fuel distribution, and reduction in the fuel pressure drop across the fuel cell units.
