SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering, in particular to engine building, namely to spark plugs of gas internal combustion engines with a variable compression ratio. The technical problem is to increase reliability. The invention provides an increase in the rotational speed of the crankshaft of such an engine achieved in the spark plug of a gas internal combustion engine with a variable compression ratio, including a metal body, long electrodes protruding into the combustion chamber, and an insulator separating them, and the electrodes of the candle are hollow and air is passed through them for cooling, while when heated, the electrodes, changing their shape, unbend, forming straight lines, and when cooled, return to their original C-shape, due to being made of a material with the form memory effect.
EFFECT: increase in the rotational speed of the crankshaft.
