FIELD: mechanical engineering; vehicle engines.
SUBSTANCE: power output of engine is regulated by changing duration of fuel delivery pulse. At change of operating conditions of engine speed of injection of fuel-air mixture into prechamber and combustion chamber are controlled by changing pressure in compression cylinder which is provided by changing pressure of cutoff valve on seat. With duration of fuel delivery pulse increased, pressure in compression cylinder is increased, and at reduction of duration of pulse, pressure is decreased to provide fuel-air ratio in prechamber at spark plug electrodes of 8:1-20:1. Injection of mixture into prechamber and into combustion chamber is carried out when piston moves to TDC after closing of intake and exhaust channels but not later than 5° before spark discharge on spark plug electrodes. Engine for implementing the method is furnished with operating conditions pickup, processor and cutoff valve pressure drive. Pickup is connected with processor which is connected with pressure drive and with fuel metering out device.
EFFECT: increased engine power output, reduced fuel consumption and toxicity of exhaust gases.
