FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed ICE comprises combustion chamber 11 and piston 2 and features compression ratio varying from 15:1 to 25:1. It comprises also fuel-air mix intake port 4 to receive fuel-air intake in combustion chamber 11, and ignition device 3 arranged in combustion chamber 11 to ignite fuel-air mix at crankshaft turn angle varying from 0 degrees after piston TDC in chamber 11. Note here that combustion chamber and piston can reduce risks of producing local overheat area, and that engine allows combustion rate whereat 90% of fuel is fired at crankshaft angles varying from 15° to 40°. Invention relates also to method of combustion, transport facility, ship or electric power station exploiting such engine.
EFFECT: higher efficiency in running on various fuel types.
