SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to surgery. In order to treat chronic radiation proctitis, formation of collagen and blood vessels are stimulated. As an impact on the rectal mucosa, radio frequency ablation is performed at power density settings of 12 to 14 J/cm2. Treatment of the damaged mucosa begins in the inversion position of the endoscope at a distance of 2 to 3 mm proximal from the toothed line, followed by moving to the affected mucosa along the circumference of the intestine, overlapping the area of previous radio frequency impact by 1 to 2 mm, followed by installing the electrode proximally and repeating the impact cycle with treatment of 5 to 6 cm of the rectal mucosa during one radio frequency ablation cycle.

EFFECT: method increases the effectiveness of treatment of chronic radiation proctitis.
