FIELD: non-destructive monitoring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of non-destructive methods for monitoring mechanical stresses in steel structures. The method for controlling mechanical stresses in steel structures by the magnetoelastic method contains stages at which the magnetoelastic sensitivity of steel in the control zone is measured and taken into account, to an additional local shock or static force effect on it in a direction transverse to the acting loads.
EFFECT: increasing the reliability of the results of assessing the mechanical stresses of steel structures by the magnetoelastic method.
