FIELD: electrolysis.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a diaphragmatic electrolyser containing a body, a cathode and an anode separated by a porous diaphragm and connected with a voltage source. The electrolyser is characterised by the fact that the body is made in the form of a cylinder; the cathode is made in the form of a stainless steel plate and installed along the inner wall of the body; the anode is placed in the centre of a cylindrical container of a smaller diameter installed coaxially inside the body, holes are made on the side wall of the container, and a fabric is placed along the surface, serving as a porous diaphragm; the body and the container are made of a material, corrosion-resistant to hexavalent chromium.
EFFECT: increase in the quality of purification of waste water from hexavalent chromium.
