METHOD FOR INTRAUTERINE ASSESSMENT OF THE CONDITION OF THE FETAL DENTOALVEOLAR SYSTEM IN THE THIRD TRIMESTER OF PREGNANCY Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61C7/00

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and can be used for intrauterine assessment of the condition of the fetal dentoalveolar system in the third trimester of pregnancy. For this purpose, prenatal ultrasonic screening is conducted. The length, width of the upper and lower jaws of the fetus are additionally measured in the sonograms and compared with the main parameters: biparietal size, femoral length, circumference of the head, and abdominal circumference. The ratio coefficient of the length/width of the upper jaw to the lower jaw K1, the ratio coefficient of the biparietal size and the maxillary length K2, the ratio coefficient of the femoral length to the length of the upper jaw of the patient K3, the ratio coefficient of the circumference of the head and the mandibular width K4 are then calculated. At a values of K1=1.1; K2=1.7; K3=1.3; K4=2.4, the physiological development of the skull bones, facial muscles, and the development of the musculoskeletal system are assessed as normal.

EFFECT: method provides a possibility of assessing the state of development of the fetal dentoalveolar system in utero in the third trimester of pregnancy and promptly identifying congenital pathologies of the dentoalveolar system.
