SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an aerosol-generating apparatus and to an aerosol-generating system. The aerosol generating device comprises a body with a chamber of a size allowing for placement of at least part of the aerosol-forming substrate therein, wherein the chamber restricts the heating area. The apparatus also comprises a first coil and a second coil, located at least partially around or adjacent to the heating area. The first coil constitutes a driving coil configured to be connected with an alternating current source, and the second coil constitutes a resonant coil of a resonant circuit, wherein the second coil is configured to be inductively connected to the first coil.

EFFECT: when used, the coils operate so as to create an increased magnetic field intensity for effective heating of the current collector located in this magnetic field.
