SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to compositions for application to the skin. The method for implementing a calming touch to a child by a caregiver includes the stages of: the caregiver distributing an effective amount of the composition to their hand or fingers and/or the skin of the child, wherein the composition comprises olivate with a value of hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (HLB) in the range from approximately 4 to approximately 10; and isopropyl palmitate, wherein isopropyl palmitate is present in a mass amount greater than or equal to the mass amount of olivate; the caregiver uses their hand or fingers to apply the composition to the selected the surface of the skin of the child for a period of time sufficient to apply the composition to the selected surface of the skin of the child; wherein the composition comprises from approximately 0.20 to approximately 0.75 wt.% olivate; isopropyl palmitate, wherein isopropyl palmitate is present in a mass amount greater than or equal to the mass amount of olivate; and cellulose powder dispersed in the entire composition. Also disclosed is a composition to contribute to implementation of a calming touch to a child by a caregiver.
