SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to cellular biology and medicine, in particular, to dermatology, and discloses a method for evaluating the antipsoriatic effect of an external agent on a laboratory model of imiquimod-induced psoriasis. To implement the described method, an immunohistochemical analysis of the biopsy material of the affected area of the skin is conducted Then the amount of CD3+ and Ki-67+ cells in the affected skin is determined using a light microscope. Simultaneous reduction in the amount of CD3+ and Ki-67+ cells by 2 times or more compared to the control group is therein a criterion for the effective antipsoriatic effect of the agent.
EFFECT: present invention provides a possibility of increasing the accuracy, reliability, efficiency and reproducibility of studies of the skin of patients with plaque psoriasis, and has a simplified technique with a reduced cost of implementation thereof compared to previously known techniques.
