FIELD: computer technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of remote administration of initial configuration parameters of a computer operating system. A method is proposed, in which: a record about a computing device is received; the computing device and its operating system copy are linked to an organization based on subsequent reception of a record about the computing device together with organization identification; the operating system copy is confirmed; a profile containing configuration for initial configuration parameters is received; the received profile is linked with the computing device and its operating system copy, if automated configuration of initial configuration parameters is authorized for the operating system copy; data on an operating system license is generated; data on the operating system license is given to the computing device in response to a request containing hardware identification information.

EFFECT: automation of configuration of initial configuration parameters for the operating system.
