COAGULATION AND DISSECTION TOOL WITH PIN ELECTRODES Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61B18/14

Abstract RU 2764703 C2

FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electrosurgical tool, primarily for sealing vessels. The electrosurgical tool for sealing and dissecting vessels contains an arm structure having the first arm with the first electrode surface and the second arm with the second electrode surface, held at a distance from each other, and a counter-arm structure having at least one counter-arm with a counter-electrode surface. The first electrode surface of the first arm and the second electrode surface of the second arm are located asymmetrically relatively to the middle plane extending in the longitudinal direction of the tool parallel to the direction of movement of the corresponding first or second arm or counter-arm and passing through the center of the cross-section of arm and counter-arm structures, and/or the counter-electrode surface of the counter-arm is located asymmetrically relatively to the above-mentioned middle plane. Electrode surfaces of the second arm and at least one counter-arm are made in such a way that to set a cutting gap between them for the electrical dissection of tissue located in it. Electrode surfaces of the first arm and at least one counter-arm are made in such a way that to set a coagulation gap between them for electrical sealing or coagulation of tissue located in it. The second electrode surface of the second arm of the arm structure conducts electricity, and the second arm has an isolated section that is located on the side of the second arm facing the first arm. The electrode surface of the second arm of the arm structure, conducting electricity has a current-concentrating edge near the isolated section, made to dissect tissue located in the cutting gap between the current-concentrating edge and the counter-electrode surface of at least one counter-arm. The first electrode surface of the first arm conducts electricity, and it is made to seal or coagulate tissue located in the coagulation gap between the first electrode surface and the counter-electrode surface of at least one counter-arm.

EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to provide a special design form, which makes it possible for the operator to have a good overview of the coagulation tool and the treated vessel, primarily during laparoscopic or endoscopic work.
