FIELD: spark plugs.
SUBSTANCE: spark plug (1) is proposed having case (2), insulator (3) located inside case (2), heat cone (31), body (32) and upper part (33), as well as landing part (35) that forms a transition from heat cone (31) of the insulator to its body (32), and also having central electrode (4) located inside insulator (3) and side electrode (5) located from the end side of case (2), facing a combustion chamber. Side electrode (5) and central electrode (4) are arranged so that they form a spark gap between each other. Case (2) has landing part (25) on the inner side, to which insulator (3) is adjacent with its landing part (35), inner seal (10) is located between landing part (25) on the case and landing part (35) of the insulator, which together with landing part (25) on the case and landing part (35) of the insulator forms a sealing system. Landing part (35) of the insulator has at least one step with first section (3510) and at least one second section (3520), while first section (351) and second sections (3520) are located at an angle γ to each other greater than 0°, and first section (3510) is parallel to the longitudinal axis (X) of the insulator, wherein inner seal (10) is adjacent to this first section (3510), as a result of which radial sealing surface (351) is formed on insulator (3).
EFFECT: creation of an improved spark plug with a new internal sealing principle.
